Soldier and Family Assistance Center


Provide assistance and support services to the Soldiers who have been assigned to the Warrior Transition Unit (WTU) and their Families through the development, coordination, and provision of varied Services designed to address complex physical, personal, family, social, and economic needs.


Soldier and Family Assistance Center (SFAC) services will be tailored and responsive to the needs of the Warriors in Transition (WTs) and their Families. Most services will be present in the SFAC location in order to maximize the convenience to the WTs and their Families. Other services will be brought forward on a part-time basis or SFAC will establish priority appointments on behalf of WTs at other offices.

Women, Infants, & Children representatives visit Fort Irwin every week to provide services for the Families stationed here. They operate out of the SFAC office, Room 9 in BLDG 1317, the 1st Wednesday and first 4 Thursdays of every month. Learn more.
